Is a Hard Tail Frame Right for Your Motorcycle?

If you are considering building a custom bike, you will need to determine whether to select a hard tail frame (also called rigid frame), or a frame swing arm. Decision on the box should not be taken lightly, because there are some significant differences in the styles.

hard tail frame is a piece okvira.Stražnji motorcycle wheel assembly attaches directly to the frame, unlike the soft-tail frame is made of two pieces of pipe connected to the pivot joint. It is the source of the nomenclature, the box really hard tail. The result is that there is no rear suspension to give that 'floating' feeling of safety.

Initially, all motorcycles are hard to repa.Savijena tube frames allowed the rear hub that is enclosed by a piece of the frame. It's still so hard tails are put together today.

Harley-Davidson Duo-Glide, released in 1958, gave riders the first option to purchase a bike with rear suspension. Purists, however, still love the ride and feel hard tail frame.

Jesse James custom bike builder and owner of West Coast Chopper, in a recent documentary about the history or motorcycles, said that he loves the hard tail ride because it allows the driver to really become part of the road. No "Bounce" and does not absorb road vibration, shock, gives a feeling as opposed to the hardcore swing arm motorcycle frames.

Hard tail frames provide a somewhat rougher ride, people who experience back pain during long rides almost always avoided this box style. The kidney-punching pressures can lead to hitting shots. However, in this modern day, most roads are relatively smooth.

Some people just love riding the rigid hard tail frame. Others really hate the differences in vožnji.Dno line is that you choose the right framework for the motor based on your personal needs, expectations and planned use.

If you want to cross-country touring cycle, hard tail can not be the right choice for you. If you want to build the ultimate custom chopper show, this style of frame can be perfect for you. If you are young, have a lot of endurance, in great physical condition and do not mind a bit of kidney jolting, the hard framework is a viable option. However, if you want to drive from New York to California when you retire, you will probably be much happier riding a soft tail.

The choice of hard tail frame or soft tail frame is entirely a personal choice. Just remember, it takes a lot of work to change frames, so think through exactly what you expect from your motorcycle before making a decision on whether a hard tail frame is the best solution for your own motor.
