Just read a very interesting blog post by Marco, a fellow Yahoo! and an avid photographer. His portrayal of the simple and efficient internet days of yesteryears versus the spam infested internet of today is as true as it can be. And it is sad because so much valuable bandwidth is wasted by utterly useless spam generated by people who has nothing better to do. Despite the existence of spam filtering inboxes and akismet comment filters on blogs, the sheer volume of crap makes one wish nothing but eternal damnation to the spammers. I wish they all rot in hell.
Throughout his career David James has not only made some cracking saves, but he now wants to save the planet. The England no.1 at the age of 37 has now traded in his BMW 7 series for a Chrysler that runs on rapeseed oil, and is leading the way for footballers to go green. Hastings Direct has all the details. I love my goldwing even more today. The first 32k mile valve clearance check went incredibly well. No plastics to remove at all. 8 bolts per side and I was looking at the cam shaft. All the clearances were right on the money, 0.006 inch for the intakes and 0.009 inch for the exhausts. Not only that, I figured that I didn't even need to constantly align the timing marks, rather making sure a cam lobe was pointing away from the shim bucket would do the job nicely. This is a quite valuable knowledge to have. And I saved $170 by not going to the dealer.
As usual I had fun at Susan's garage with all her fantastic tools. There is hardly a tool that she does not have. Her recent acquisition is a foldaway picnic table which I could carry on my hitch rack if I wanted. Much fun.
Next maintenance items are minor compared to what I did today: Brake/clutch fluid flush, coolant flush and spark plug replacement.
So, I am now set with a refillable cartridge kit coming next Monday. I plan to print a lot in a few weeks but there is always the worry of the printer's waste ink sponges to be full soon. The waste ink counter can be reset using a combination of keys, but the sponge replacement is supposed to need a lengthy surgery on the printer (unless taken to an epson center and spending $$$).
I was looking for a painless workaround, and the closest I found is as follows:

http://www.wasteink.co.uk/waste-ink-mods/epson-2100-wibox-mod/
So basically I need to pull out the waste ink tube from the right side and attach an exit tube to it which will lead the ink to an external container. Sweet.
